After being in the Technology recruitment sector for 5 months, I felt like I got a taste or a mere appetiser for the tech world and what is out there.
It is my nature to develop face-to-face relationships rather than through a screen, so I started researching Cyber Security events. I booked to go to the Security Expo in Birmingham NEC 2022.
Where I managed to speak to some interesting and insightful people within the Security space and managed to develop a relationship with a new partner within the Security and AI space.
After the success of the previous event I attended, I wanted to participate in a more specific Cyber Security event and stumbled across the Cyber Expo 2022 at the London Olympia.
The International Cyber Expo was created out of demand following the continued growth and investment into cyber security. The Expo allows cyber security professionals, CTOs, CISOs and alike to talk about the latest debates and share knowledge and practices affecting the cyber security landscape.
Working within the cyber security space myself, this event was more tailored to the space I am working in and provided me with a greater understanding of the threats which need to be overcome by cyber security and the skills required, as well as some of the trends happening within the career pathways.
As a bonus, I was able to meet up with candidates I placed! It was great to catch up with them and see them in their element.
I also had the opportunity to speak to some true pioneers within the Cyber Security and AI sector. It was really great to understand their pain points when it comes to finding the right talent and what roles and skills are needed to ensure their growth. I really look forward to collaborating with them on their talent development plans.
